Where can you watch a movie?

  • Explore independent films and film festivals. You can always depend on The Avalon Theatre and Landmark E St Theatre. Btw Landmark has $7 retro movies on Tuesdays.

  • Do not sleep on embassies and cultural centers! The French Embassy ($5 tickets) Former Residence of the Spanish Ambassador (free tickets), and the Goethe Institute (free tickets) always show films.

  • Cozy neighborhood vibes? The converted row home to theatre, Suns Cinema always has a delightful curated selection of old and foreign films. A Baked Joint typically screens films on Wednesday nights. metrobar has family movie screenings on the Sunday afternoons. Miracle Theatre has a mix of recently released films and throwbacks which makes it a perfect date night spot.
