The insider’s guide to Washington, DC events

a calendar made by your neighbor

We specialize in making the unknown, known.

This isn’t your mainstream-media source of the trendiest, sold-out, $100 cover events. We dig through 100+ primary source websites every single week to uncover Washington, DC’s culturally-enriching, hidden gems events.

While we won’t promise you’ll love every event we highlight, we hope each of you finds an event to suit your interests + discover an inclusive community of like-minded neighbors.

A for locals, by locals guide to events that are

  • budget-friendly

Almost all our events are under $60, and roughly two-thirds are 100% free. Rarely do we share events crossing the three-digit threshold.

  • accessible

We favor events placed near a metro or other public transport.

  • inclusive

We highlight underrepresented groups in DC, including LGBTQIA+, AAPI, BIPOC, and people with a disability.

  • unique

We’ve shared an after-hours art exhibit at the Embassy of Spain, a musical performance made of ice instruments, and a Henna workshop at the Botanical gardens.

How Tuesday nights
became the
new Saturdays

Born in DC and raised in Arlington, Jade spent her childhood touring museums and embassies with her mom. Fast-forward fifteen years, and Jade led a double-life working as an economist during the workweek and moonlighting as a bartender on the weekends. With her only free time slotted between Monday and Thursday, her weeknights became her new weekends—and ClockoutDC was born.
